The 2 rows trailed potato digger is a PTO-driven machine that balances efficiency and simplicity. It is designed to lift potatoes from two adjacent rows (typically spaced 60-90 cm apart), separate them from most of the soil, and leave them in rows or piles for workers to pick up. Its trailed design—supported by its own wheels—makes it suitable for larger fields and reduces strain on the tractor compared to mounted versions.
Key Features Dual Digging Shares: Two adjustable blades or shares dig beneath the potato rows, lifting tubers, soil, and vines. Depth can be adjusted to match planting depth and soil conditions.
Separation Mechanism: Equipped with vibrating sieves, conveyor chains, or rollers to shake off soil and debris, leaving potatoes exposed. Some models include secondary cleaning features like finger rollers or hedgehog belts.
Trailed Design: Features a wheeled chassis that trails behind the tractor, connected via a tow hitch.Provides better weight distribution and stability on uneven terrain.
PTO Power: Driven by the tractor’s Power Take-Off, typically requiring 30-60 HP depending on size and features.
Adjustable Components: Height, angle, and sieve speed can often be adjusted manually or hydraulically for optimal performance.
Durable Build: Constructed with steel frames and reinforced parts to handle rough field conditions.

Applications Medium-Scale Potato Farming: Ideal for farms with 5-50 acres, where manual collection is feasible but mechanized digging saves time.
Mixed Farming Operations: Useful for growers harvesting potatoes alongside other crops, as it’s a multi-purpose digging tool.
Organic or Smallholder Farms: Suits operations prioritizing manual quality control over full automation.
Seed Potato Harvesting: Allows gentle lifting and hand-picking to avoid damaging delicate seed stock.
How It Works Attachment: The digger is hitched to the tractor’s tow bar, and the PTO shaft is connected to power the moving parts.
Digging: As the tractor pulls the digger forward, the two shares cut into the soil beneath the potato rows, lifting the tubers and surrounding material.
Separation: The lifted mass moves over a vibrating sieve or conveyor, where soil falls through, and potatoes (along with some vines) are deposited on the ground.
Collection: Workers follow behind to manually gather the exposed potatoes, which are left in neat rows or small piles.
