Working principle of drum mixer The drum mixer is powered by an electric or pneumatic motor. These mixers can mix substances of different particle sizes, including gravel, fruits, ice cream, and even cement slurry. The mixing mechanism of this machine consists of a mixing drum, a support wheel, and a transmission system. The mixing drum is the working component of a mixer. The mixing cylinder is a double conical cylinder. There are two pairs of high and low plates welded inside the cylinder, which are arranged crosswise and form a certain angle with the axis of the mixed cylinder. When the mixing drum rotates, the blades move the material back and forth in the axial direction, while lifting and lowering the material. Therefore, mixed motion is relatively strong. After mixing for 35-45 seconds, a uniform concrete can be obtained. A pair of discharge blades are welded inside the discharge cone of the mixing cylinder to change the rotation direction of the mixing cylinder. The concrete is pushed from the bottom blade onto the discharge blade and then discharged from the cylinder. It can be used to mix plastic and semi dry concrete. The mixing drum rotates forward for mixing, and reverse rotation for discharging.
